- February 28 – The town of Vienna is incorporated by the Virginia General Assembly, and William H. Bowman, Thomas H. Harper, Anderson Freeman, John L. Bukey, William B. Lewis, Benjamin F. Clayberger, Orrin E. Hine, Howard A. Money, and John E. Dunsey are appointed as members of the first Town Council.[1]
