- June 2 – 42-year-old Mary Harmon kills her 50-year-old estranged husband John when she shoots him in the face with a shotgun at her mother's house on the Falls Church road.[1][2]
July
August
- August 22 – Following a three day trial, the jury takes only 10 minutes to find Mary Harmon not guilty of murder for fatally shooting her 50-year-old husband John on June 2.[4]
