- April 22 – The Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria formally opens with a dance at the newly-built clubhouse.[1]

- May 2 – The 9-hole golf course of the Belle Haven Country Club in Alexandria opens for play.[2]
September
- September 19 – The twelfth annual Fairfax County Fair comes to a close with a celebration of "Klan Day", in which more than a hundred carloads of members of the Ku Klux Klan engage in festivities such as the burning of a cross.[3]
