Anita Cunningham
Carolyn Anita Cunningham (November 13, 1961 – August 26, 1975) was a 13-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted and strangled to death by William M. McGinty in the Rose Hill neighborhood of Alexandria on August 26, 1975.[1][2][3]
Cunningham had graduated from Mark Twain Intermediate School the previous June, and was about to start the ninth grade at Thomas A. Edison High School when she was murdered.[1] Instead, she was buried in the Mount Comfort Cemetery.
