Beverly Ann Speaker
Beverly Ann Speaker (September 15, 1953 – March 12, 1979) was a 25-year-old woman who was shot three times and mortally wounded by her estranged husband Winston as she sat in her car outside her apartment building at 7141 Groveton Gardens Road in Alexandria on the morning of March 5, 1979.[1][2]
Suffering from bullet wounds to her chest, head and side, Speaker was taken to the Mount Vernon Hospital, where she died in the intensive care unit on March 12.[3]
