Fairfax County Park Authority Board
The Fairfax County Park Authority Board sets guidelines and policy for the Fairfax County Park Authority.
Following the creation of the Fairfax County Park Authority on December 6, 1950, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors appointed the first members of the board, including John W. Brookfield, Elmer Andrews, John Lynch, C. C. Robinson, and Robert Wheat.[1]
Long-time county resident Brookfield, of Springfield, became the board's first chairman.[2][3]
