Events that took place in Fairfax County in February, 1966:
- February 4 – Fairfax Circuit Court Judge Paul E. Brown signs an order creating a 25-acre enclave of Fairfax County containing the Fairfax County Courthouse within the City of Fairfax.[1]
- February 15 – 35-year-old Patricia R. Steele is shot and mortally wounded by her ex-husband Herbert at her home at 6925 Oak Ridge Road in Falls Church. Steele manages to stagger to a neighbor's house before collapsing and is taken to the Fairfax Hospital, where she dies.[2]
