Gray A. Combs, Jr.
Gray Alan Combs, Jr. (August 26, 1989 – May 20, 2012) was a 22-year-old man who shot and mortally wounded by the Fairfax County Police in an apartment in the 5700 block of Backlick Road in Springfield on May 19, 2012.[1]
Combs was sought for several felony charges of producing and possessing child pornography for taking pictures of his 16-year-old girlfriend with his cell phone. Acting on a tip, police found Combs hiding in a closet of the apartment, and when the officers attempted to arrest Combs, he menaced them with a sword.[1]
