James M. Scott
James Martin "Jim" Scott (born June 11, 1938)
In 1969, Scott founded the Washington Suburban Institute, a private think tank focused on racism in Fairfax County. He was a co-author with Carol J. Cunningham of "Land Development and Racism in Fairfax County", a 1970 study of institutional racism in the county.[1]
Scott was elected to the Providence District seat on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in the election of November 1971, defeating Republican Thomas B. Wright.
