John T. Frey
John T. Frey (1957 - ) is the Clerk of the Fairfax Circuit Court.
Together with his wife Sheila, Frey would have two children: son Robert and Daughter Stephanie.[1]
Frey worked on the campaign of Warren E. Barry, then served in the clerk's office for two years.[2] He then left the Clerk's Office to form the firm of Frey & Autry, P.C., a title firm he headed for six years.[2]
Frey was first elected as Clerk in 1991, delivering a crushing defeat to Democrat Timothy Y. Hamer. Frey ran unopposed in 1999, but only narrowly squeaked out a victory in the 2007 election against Democrat Dale A. Evans in a field that also included Independent Green candidate Joseph P. Oddo.
Awards and Honors
Frey was named the 2006 Public Official of the Year by the National Association of County Recorders, Election Officials and Clerks in August of that year.[3]
