- July 19 – 33-year-old Lorraine Wilkerson and 35-year-old Dante A. Cantore drown in Timberlake in Oakton.[1]
- July 30 – 64-year-old store owner Hyman Meyers is pistol-whipped to death by 33-year-old George Adams during a failed robbery at Meyers' Garden Food Store in Oakton.[2][3][4]
