Roy D. Lewis | December 12, 1971 | Stabbed in the maximum security dining hall in retaliation for an earlier stabbing. Lewis was taken to the Lorton hospital, where he died an hour later.[3] |
Joseph J. Brooks | August 21, 1972 | Stabbed in the chest in his dormitory, Brooks managed to stagger to the prison hospital and was taken to D.C. General Hospital, where he died about 4½ hours later.[4] |
Douglas M. Boney | May 22, 1980 | Shot twice in the chest with a .38 caliber revolver by 32-year-old Edward Ford Sharrieff, who broke into Dormitory 16 with 24-year-old Germain P. Stoddard and 30-year-old John E. Landon.[5][6] |
Keith Hunter | June 13, 1983 | Ambushed and fatally stabbed by several other prisoners in a television room in Cell block No. 6.[7] |
Anthony Johnson | December 6, 1984 | Fatally burned in a methane gas explosion at Youth Center I. Johnson was taken to the Washington Hospital Center, where he died of his burns on December 24.[8][9] |
