Michael J. Garvey
Michael John Garvey (December 23, 1946 – June 10, 1964) was a 17-year-old McLean High School student who fatally shot himself while playing Russian roulette in his family's home at 5909 Maxwell Court in McLean on June 10, 1964.[1][2]
Garvey was taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he died following surgery.[2]
Garvey was the oldest of five children of Navy Captain Hugh M. Garvey and his wife Lizbeth. The rest of the family was on a road trip to visit relatives in Florida when Garvey shot himself.[1]
