Events that took place in Fairfax County in October, 1913:
- October 13 – While working on the Lake Barcroft dam, 15-year-old Hubert S. Monger is fatally injured when the steam drill he is operating rolls over on him and crushes his skull. The mortally injured youth is taken to the Alexandria Hospital, where he dies later that evening. [1]
- October 15 – The first meeting of the newly-organized Women's Suffrage League of Fairfax County is held at the Vienna Public Library.[2]
