- December 20, 1998 – 32-year-old Elaine S. Rowland unintentionally kills herself in an early morning crash in Centreville when she loses control of her speeding 1996 Ford Escort and is partially ejected when the car rolls.
- December 20, 2001 – 28-year-old Saeed Deria is stabbed and mortally wounded by his 30-year-old brother Ahmed in Saeed's apartment at 13942 Rockland Village Drive, Apt. 202 in the Rockland Village neighborhood of Chantilly. He is taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.
- December 20, 2007 – 57-year-old Matilde A. Cruz is stabbed to death at her former home at at 6508 Pinecrest Court in Alexandria by her estranged husband, 56-year-old Jose L. Cruz, and found in her crashed car in the rear of the house.
