- June 15, 1996 – The 170-year-old Oak Grove house in Springfield is demolished.
- June 15, 2001 – 29-year-old Sterling W. Fisher is sentenced to life plus 30 years in prison for stabbing Paramjit Singh to death during a robbery at the Texaco station at 252 Maple Avenue West in Vienna on July 21, 1995.
