- June 9, 1992 – 45-year-old Miguel Martinez fatally shoots his 41-year-old estranged wife Sarah, then commits suicide in the apartment building where she worked at 2907 John Marshall Drive in Falls Church.
- June 9, 1998 – Saeed Sheikh is convicted of felonious assault by mob for his role in the fatal shooting of David C. Albrecht outside of George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church on February 27.
- June 9, 2006 – Henh Chu Ngo is sentenced to 26 years in prison by Judge Jane Marum Roush for the December, 2002 murder of Ngoc Quy Doan Nguyen in Annandale.
- June 9, 2012 – 40-year-old Bharat P. Patel is found dead near his apartment in the 11900 block of Winterthur Lane in Reston.
- June 9, 2014 – 16-year-old Kevin Johnson is shot and mortally wounded by Leon M. Johnson at 4311 Pembrook Village Drive in Alexandria. Johnson and a 14-year-old who was also shot are both taken to the hospital, where Johnson dies of his injuries.
