October
- October 1 – 48-year-old Ella A. Hall is killed near her home at Burke's Station when she is struck by a Chesapeake and Ohio train on the nearby Southern Railway tracks.[1]
November
- November 1 – Gatekeeper William Vickers finds the skeleton of a man in some underbrush on the grounds of Mount Vernon. Although a bullet was found in the crushed skull, Justice of the Peace T. S. Wright decides against holding an inquest and rules the man, who was probably an Italian laborer from New York who had worked on a road project on the estate about two years earlier, died of natural causes.[2][3]
