Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 1960:
- April 2 – Two-month-old Rolanda Denney is smothered to death in the wood stove of her mother's second-floor apartment at 5929 Oak Street in Baileys Crossroads while her mother Virginia is out visiting. Virginia discovers her daughter's burned corpse in the smoldering stove when she returns home.[1][2]
- April 21 – 12-year-old Charles W. Kidwell is struck and killed by an automobile as he walks along a rural road in Chantilly.[3]
