Basil Knick

Basil "Wayne" Knick (July 31, 1942 - February 1, 2012) was a 69-year-old man from Mineral, Virginia, who was killed by 59-year-old Darryl Barnes when Barnes hit Knick with his car on Fox Mill Road in Reston.[1]

Knick was helping a tractor trailer truck back out of a parking lot when he stepped into the street to help guide it. Knick was struck by Barnes with his 2004 Saturn Vue when he failed to view Knick standing in the road.[2]
