Events that took place in Fairfax County in December, 1958:
- December 28 – 23-year-old Albert W. Rogers fatally shoots himself with a 12 gauge shotgun in the back yard of his mother's house in Burke.[1]
- December 31 – Fairfax County Police Detective Sergeant David R. Eike, previously serving as the head of the Juvenile Squad, is promoted to lieutenant, becoming an administrative assistant to Chief William L. Durrer. His role at the Juvenile Squad is taken over by Detective Corporal Richard H. Lester. Also promoted is Traffic Safety Officer Paul S. Dove, to the rank of sergeant.[2]
