- December 11 - Minghua Zheng is strangled to death by her husband, Jaime A. Kuhne, in her apartment at 718 Tamarack Drive, #C, in Herndon.[1]
- December 28 - 25-year-old Victoria Stefan unintentionally kills herself and her 22-year-old sister, Elizabeth, when she crashes the 2003 Jaguar she is driving into a concrete Jersey barrier while attempting to turn onto Route 29 from West Ox Road.[2][3]
- December 31 - Claudia Nova, a 21-year-old Falls Church woman, is stabbed to death by her boyfriend, 29-year-old Selbin Marroquin, at their shared apartment at 6077 Argyle Drive #12.[4]
