- February 3 – Attempting to flee from a Fairfax County Police Officer, 27-year-old Eduin Joel Galeas Mejia unintentionally kills himself and his 20-year-old passenger Orlin Misael Nolasco Hernandez when he crashes the 1999 Dodge Neon he is driving into a tree near the intersection of Hilltop Road with Old Lee Highway in Merrifield.[1][2]
- February 20 – 44-year-old Alvaro Zepeda is stabbed to death in his apartment at 2903 John Marshall Drive in the Seven Corners Apartments complex in Falls Church by 32-year-old Marlon Oswaldo Gudiel Polanco.[3][4][5]
- February 23 – 20-year-old Luz F. Inscoe unintentionally kills her passenger, 20-year-old Vuthea Hiep, when she crashes her 2002 Volkswagon Cabriolet into a telephone pole on Rolling Road near Terra Grande Avenue in Springfield.[6]
- February 26 – 15-year-old W. T. Woodson High School sophomore Jack Chen is struck and killed by a Virginia Railway Express train near his home in Fairfax Station.[7]
