Fitsum Gebreegziabher

Fitsum Gebreegziabher was a 27-year-old Canadian man who was struck and killed by 25-year-old Josuel P. Galdino in Springfield early on the morning of February 29, 2004.[1]

Gebreegziabher had stopped his 1989 Toyota Camry in the left lane of Interstate 95 just north of the Franconia-Springfield Parkway because of a flat tire, and was standing behind his vehicle when he was struck by Galdino's Mitsubishi Montero.[1] Gebreegziabher's feet became entangled in the front grill of the Montero, and he was dragged 8½ miles to the Lorton Station neighborhood of Lorton when Galdino fled the scene.[1][2]
