John B. Geer

John Bennett Geer (November 16, 1966 – August 29, 2013) was a 46-year-old kitchen designer and installer who was fatally shot during a standoff at his townhouse at 7907 Pebble Brook Court in Springfield by Fairfax County Police officer Adam D. Torres on August 29, 2013.

Geer collapsed back into his house and shut the door behind him. By the time the police entered the house, Geer had bled to death.
