Joseph P. Murray

Joseph Patrick "Joe" Murray (January 28, 1916 – October 7, 1971) was chief of the Herndon Police Department from 1958 to 1971.

After serving in the Navy during World War II, Murray had joined HPD in the early 1950s, and became chief of the department in 1958.[1]

Murray died at the Fairfax Hospital on October 7, 1971, following a long illness.[1]
