Joseph S. Grimes
Joseph S. Grimes (August 22, 1862 – December 21, 1916) was an Alexandria man who died, along with his wife Caroline H. Grimes, when his car was hit by northbound passenger train number 16 on the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac Railroad crossing in Lorton on December 21, 1916.[1]
The Grimes' had been returning to their home in Alexandria after exchanging gifts with friends and family in Occoquan.[1]
