- June 2 – After a marathon 17-hour meeting in which nearly 40 speakers are heard, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors finally votes 4-3 to purchase the assets of the Alexandria Water Company for a court-ordered price of $45.2 million.[1][2]
- June 15 – 19-year-old Glenn D. Blevins is convicted of second-degree murder for the fatal beating of 48-year-old park custodian Greer F. Holyfield in Clifton on September 24, 1966.[3]
