- June 10 – 54-year-old homeless man William J. Bowie is shot and killed in the Mount Vernon neighborhood of Alexandria by 18-year-old Tyree D. Harvey.[1][2]
- June 20 – The Fairfax County Park Authority dedicates Merrifield Park, the first "urban park" in the system.[3]
- June 30 – 23-year-old Powell Beck is shot to death in the home at 5422 Crossrail Drive in Burke.[4]
