L. Richard Peterson
Louis Richard Peterson (January 31, 1948 – March 11, 2007) was a 60-year-old stay-at-home father who was killed, along with his disabled 21-year-old daughter Sophia, in a fire in their double-wide at 14530 Lanica Circle in the Meadows of Chantilly trailer park in Chantilly on March 11, 2007.[1][2]
An investigation by the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department determined the fire was caused by an unattended prayer candle.
A favorite quote of Peterson's was "I will walk through the fire just to save one person."[1]
