Events that took place in Fairfax County in March, 1928:
- March 8 – Lacking the funds for maintenance, the Fairfax County School Board orders the closing of the Red Hill School and a reduction in staffing of one teacher each at five others: Baileys Crossroads, Clifton, Forestville, Lorton and Vienna.[1]
- March 26 – The Fairfax Volunteer Fire Department is organized in Fairfax, with W. W. Beattie elected as its first president.[2]
