- March 13 – 41-year-old laborer Charles E. Engle is killed when a 10-foot deep trench he is working in collapses in the Parklawn subdivision of Alexandria.[1]
- March 16 – 20-year-old John Jones uses a .22 caliber rifle to fatally shoot 26-year-old William H. Washington in the Gum Springs area of Alexandria.[2][3]
