Events that took place in Fairfax County in March, 1969:
- March 15 – 13-year-old Charles B. Tenebaum is killed by a 17-year-old hit-and-run driver as he rides his bike along Fox Mill Road near Monroe Street in Herndon.[1]
- March 15 – 29-year-old Willie E. Rodgers, Sr. unintentionally kills himself on the Capital Beltway in Alexandria when he falls asleep behind the wheel of the mail van he is driving and rams into the rear of a flatbed tractor-trailer. It takes over an hour to free Rodgers from the wreckage.[2]
