- May 13 – 74-year-old Charles A. Wrenn is fatally injured when he is beaten by 38-year-old Elias L. Edmunds on the road from Fairfax to Chantilly. Wrenn is taken first to Emergency Hospital, then to Garfield Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., where he dies on May 16.[1][2]
