Events that took place in Fairfax County in November, 1983:
- November 4 – The students in charge of George Mason University's annual student film series are forced to cancel a midnight screening of the pornographic movie "Debbie Does Dallas" and voluntarily surrender the film to the Fairfax County Police Department after the FCPD obtains a warrant allowing them to seize the film as obscene.[1]
- November 9 – 46-year-old Malinda R. Williams is fatally injured in a traffic crash on Route 28 south of Centreville. Williams is taken to Fairfax Hospital, where she dies later that day.[2]
