Robert E. Lee High School, usually shortened to Lee High School, is a high school in Springfield.
In July 2014, Deirdre Lavery became the principal of the school.[1]
Notable Alumni
- Susan Matthews – Beaten to death by her father, Joseph B. Matthews, in the family home on April 11, 1959.[2]
- Joseph A. Robles – The only National Merit Scholar in the class of 1989, Robles passed up a full scholarship to Virginia Tech to pursue his dream of becoming a drug dealer. Robles was shot and mortally injured in his Springfield home during an attempted rip-off in October 1994 and died six weeks later.[3]
