Events that took place in Fairfax County in September, 1958:
- September 5 – The Crestwood Construction corporation deeds a 2½-acre tract at Highland Road and Atteentee Road to the Springfield Volunteer Fire Department for the construction of a new station house.[1]
- September 14 – 12-year-old Preston Pitts is struck in the left temple with a baseball and killed when he runs across the infield while the competing teams are warming up for a game in Centreville. Pitts is taken to Manassas Medical Center, where he is pronounced dead.[2]
