Terence J. Strope
Terence J. "Terry" Strope was a 38-year-old Springfield man who was stabbed to death on November 19, 2008, along with his 26-year-old brother, Ryan, and their 26-year-old friend Andres Yelicie, in their house at 5502 Moultrie Road in the Ravensworth Farm neighborhood.[1]
The murders took place as part of a home invasion robbery perpetrated by Jelani Slay and Delante T. Cook, who believed that the Strope brothers were drug dealers and possessed of drugs and cash.[2] Slay and Cook wore black clothing with the words "Police" and "SWAT" displayed in an attempt to force compliance during their robbery.[3]
