- November 29, 1972 – 12-year-old Karen L. Spencer is beaten to death in a field near the Jefferson Manor Shopping Center in Alexandria.
- November 29, 1994 – 19-year-old Barbara E. White is tortured and murdered in her Alexandria apartment by independent recreational pharmaceutical salesman Thomas M. Hager, along with Arlington Johnson and Lonnie Barnett.
- November 29, 2010 – 2½-year-old Angelyn Ogdoc is thrown from a walkway at the Tysons Corner Center by her 50-year-old grandmother, Carmela Dela Rosa. The mortally injured toddler is taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she dies early the next day.
