Wayne G. Carlan
Wayne Grant "Rocky" Carlan (March 22, 1946 – June 9, 1964) was an 18-year-old Springfield man who was killed by the collapse of a 7-foot deep sewer line trench on Elmwood Drive in the Burgundy Village neighborhood of Alexandria on June 9, 1964.[1]
It was Carlan's first day of work for the Edsall Corporation. He had graduated from Robert E. Lee High School the previous day.[1]
