Death Houses in Fairfax County

A death house is created when someone dies in a house, or someone who lives in that house dies an unnatural death.

The theory behind the death house concept is that something about the place caused the unnatural death, or the death has tainted the property in some way. Death houses are often the basis for stories of haunted houses, whether or not the house is actually haunted.

Virginia state law ยง55-524.A.2 specifically states that failure to disclose that a house was the site of a murder, homicide or suicide is not actionable, meaning you can't sue if you discover that your dream home was the site of someone else's nightmare.
