- May 12 – Governor Charles T. O'Ferrall appoints Commonwealth's Attorney James M. Love as judge of the Fairfax and Alexandria County Courts.[3]
June
- June 4 – James Lewis is hanged at the Fairfax Court House for the sexually assaulting 62-year-old Ida Riedel on the Rose Hill Farm on April 14.[4][5]
