- April 1 – 33-year-old Paul Ritz kills 60-year-old Ann C. Beier when he runs a red light and strikes her car broadside on Arlington Boulevard near South Manchester Street in the Seven Corners area of Falls Church.[1]
- April 1 – A 13-year-old hospitality entrepreneur, nicknamed "Mr. Pimp", is convicted of trying to set up a prostitution ring at Langston Hughes Middle School in Reston.[2][3][4]
- April 8 – 30-year-old Mark A. Szymanski is found dead, an apparent suicide, in his home at 1451 Beulah Road in Vienna.[5]
- April 15 – 79-year-old Albertina F. Dauer is struck and killed by a man driving a 1990 Toyota Camry as she attempts to cross Braddock Road near Ferndale Street in Springfield.[6]
