Langston Hughes Middle School is a public middle school in Reston.

Following construction problems which delayed its opening for two months and necessitated the students attending double shifts at South Lakes High School, the $5.5 million dollar school finally opened in November 1980.[1]

In April 1998, a 13-year-old entrepreneur nicknamed "Mr. Pimp" was convicted and a 12-year-old girl was accused of trying to set up a prostitution ring at the school.[2][3][4]

South Lakes High School assistant principal Aimee Monticchio became the principal of the school in August 2007.[5]
