David S. Schell
The Honorable David Stanford Schell is a judge on the Fairfax Circuit Court.
From 1979 to 1991, Schell was a lawyer in private practice.
Schell was elected as a judge of the Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court by the Virginia General Assembly on April 4,1991, replacing James W. Fourqurean.[1]
He was Chief Judge of the J&DR Court from 1998 to 2002.[2]
In August 2008, Governor Timothy M. Kaine appointed Judge Schell to the bench of the Circuit Court following the death of Judge David T. Stitt.[3] Judge Schell was sworn in on September 4.[2]
