Events that took place in Fairfax County in December, 2010:
- December 16 – Alfredo R. Prieto is given two death sentences by Judge Randy I. Bellows for the 1988 murders of Rachael Raver and Warren Fulton in Reston.[1]
- December 19 – 19-year-old Jahed A. Babi is found shot to death in the Silas Burke Park near his home in Burke.[2][3]
- December 20 – A new sign identifying the Parklawn neighborhood in Alexandria is dedicated.[4]
- December 27 – 20-year-old Jabrill Y. Mara of Springfield is found mortally wounded from two gunshot wounds on the ramp from Nutley Street to Interstate 66 in Vienna. Mara is taken to the Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he dies two days later.[5]
