Events that took place in Fairfax County in December, 2016:
- December 1 – 60-year-old David D. Baines is struck and mortally injured as he crosses Frye Road near its intersection with Richmond Highway in the Mount Vernon section of Alexandria. Baines is taken to the hospital, where he dies early the next morning.[1]
- December 22 – 22-year-old Henok G. Yohannes is found shot to death in his home at 6409 Blarney Stone Court in Springfield.[2]
- December 23 – 22-year-old Kedest S. Simeneh is found shot to death in the yard of the home at 9504 Cordwood Court in the Cardinal Glen neighborhood of Burke.[3]
