Ella F. Moody
Ella Floy Currie Moody (October 4, 1914 – August 29, 1951) was a 36-year-old woman who was shot to death by 34-year-old Texas truck driver Rupert J. Turbeville at the Lucky Tavern tourist cabins on Route 1 in Alexandria on August 29, 1951.[1]
Turbeville, Moody's former common-law husband, had followed Ella after she had left Texas four months previously to marry 27-year-old Corporal Oscar C. Moody, a soldier stationed at Fort Belvoir.[1]
