Evan D. Gargiulo

Evan Douglas Gargiulo (b. May 4, 1986) is a murderer.

Gargiulo attended Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2008.[1] He moved to Reston in August of that year and began working for Lockeed Martin as a systems engineer.[2]

On November 2, 2008, Gargiulo shot 49-year-old cabbie Mazhar Nazir after Nazir gave him a ride from Washington, D.C., where Gargiulo had been attending a party at the Fur nightclub, to Reston, where he retrieved his car keys and 9 mm pistol, and then to a parking lot in the 8400 block of Greensboro Drive in Tysons Corner, where Gargiulo had parked his Nissan Xterra.[3]

Pissed off because he'd been ripped off while at the nightclub, Gargiulo shot Nazir in the back of the head rather than pay the $130 fare he'd racked up, then took Nazir's cell phone and the cab receipt and left in his Xterra.[3]

When Gargiulo got home, he called his college roommate, Francis Roman, and bragged to him he'd just gotten his "first civilian kill."[3]

On March 12, 2010, Gargiulo was convicted of second-degree murder.[3] On June 4, Judge Bruce D. White sentenced Gargiulo to 15 years in prison.[4]
