Events that took place in Fairfax County in February, 1960:
- February 8 – 49-year-old Elizabeth V. Nutter is found guilty of second-degree murder by Judge Paul E. Brown for shooting her husband Dale in the back of the head while he slept in their home at 516 Waterway Drive in Lake Barcroft on June 25, 1959.[1]
- February 11– 36-year-old Navy test pilot Lieutenant Commander Charles E. W. Dobbs is killed when he falls down a flight of three stairs and hits his head on a door stop at his home at 5013 Bristow Drive in Annandale. Commander Dobbs is pronounced dead on arrival at the DeWitt Army hospital on Fort Belvoir.[2]
